Welcome to PacADE!

Purpose of PacADE:
PacADE is a network of educators involved in developmental education and/or learning assistance in postsecondary institutions throughout the pacific region. Educators involved in PacADE are interested in sharing research and discussing theoretical issues, refining strategies for developmental and learning assistance programs, and sharing best practices related to student success. 

Definition of Developmental Education:                                                          Developmental Education is a comprehensive process that focuses on the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of all students. Developmental Education includes, but is not limited to, tutoring, course based learning assistance, peer mentoring, personal/career counseling, academic advisement, and coursework.

PacADE seeks to improve the academic success of all postsecondary students by facilitating communication among developmental education and learning assistance professionals and by providing professional development for all educators concerned with student success.
